South Africa Women have turned up with a dominating performance on Thursday against Pakistan to seal the 5-match T20I series with 3-2. Having won the toss, and opted to field first, South Africa Women came up with an early breakthrough and they never allowed Pakistan Women to build on a big partnership, as they chipped in with wickets at regular intervals and restricted the opponents to a below par score. Later, it was a walk in the park of a chase, as South Africa Women chased the target down for the loss of only a wicket in almost 16 overs.
She lived up to the pre-match expectations of fantasy cricket players, as she came up with a match-winning knock. Her aggressive knock had taken the game away from the visitors, as she took Pakistan bowlers to the cleaners. Her knock meant an easy chase for South Africa in the ‘must-win’ finale for both teams. She made 51 points in the match.
Nadine de Klerk
She proved to be a worthy pick for fantasy cricket players, as she came up with an all-round effort in the match. First up, she dismissed the dangerous Nida Dar, who seemed to be in great touch. Later, in the second half, she complemented Lee well with her regular strike rotation and the partnership turned out to be the match-defining period in the match. She made 33.5 fantasy points.
She was the only one from Pakistan who seemed to have given some sort of hope for the team. She had come up with an all-round effort in the match, as she was the top scorer for the side and also the lone wicket-taker. Her all-round effort may not have made a difference for Pakistan but it certainly did for fantasy cricket players, as she made 32.5 points.
She had provided the team with an early breakthrough, as she dismissed Sohail early in the innings. Sohail’s dismissal allowed South Africa to set the tempo in the Powerplay as Pakistan batswomen struggled to score against Ismail. Adding to it, she was also handy in the field as she came up with 22 points overall.
She failed to live up to the expectations of fantasy cricket players, as she couldn’t continue her great form at the venue. She may have proved to be handy in the field but her expensive bowling spell meant she could only score 5 points in the match.
She proved to be a disappointment for fantasy cricket players, as she failed to pick a wicket in the match. Her performance also impacted the result of the finale as she couldn’t continue her good form of the series. She made only 2 fantasy points.
We were decent with our predictions in the match, as we predicted 8 players from the dream team rightly in our best grand league team. The predictions would have been even more accurate if we had Nadine de Klerk in our best grand league team.
