Will the rain stay away from the Queen’s Park Oval?
The first game post World Cup was washed out by some heavy downpour at Guyana. Both teams wanted to start afresh and slowly start planning for the future. This game at Port of Spain should help the teams do exactly that and provide the fans an exciting contest, hoping the Weather Gods show some mercy. Contestants Outlook India looked as lethal as ever with the ball even without their spearhead Bumrah. Their batting is packed with match winners, going all the way down to Jadeja at 7. The Windies have some trouble at the top with Gayle’s form but the legend that he is, he should surely punch back hard. A fairly inexperienced middle order and lack of spinners in the team are slight causes for concern too.
After just a third of an innings happening in the first game, both teams should go in with the same team.

The Indian skipper looked a bit rusty to start off but has gone back to his usual self with a half century in the third T20. After an average Word Cup, he will be looking to score some big runs again in his favourite format.
He is the most technically sound batsman in the WI side. He had an ordinary World Cup, but his average in ODIs as well as against India is 48 which makes him a must have player for today’s match.
The Indian pacer has been terrific since he got back into the ODI side last year. He picked up 14 wickets in the four World Cup games he played and has a brilliant record against the likes of Gayle. He bowled with the same guile and effectiveness in the first ODI as he showed in the World Cup.
The WI legend from Jamaica started off his WC campaign well but has fallen back since then. His record against IND isn’t great. Though he is coming off a 100 in GLT20, his poor form in Internationals has continued. He only got a 4(31) in the first game as well.
