India A (IN-A) Vs West Indies A (WI-A)

India A seek to continue domination

It was a clinical performance from India A in the third unofficial ODI in Antigua, where they sealed the series 3-0 with two games to play. On the flip side, it was the same old story from the West Indies A, as they failed to put a fight in the chase for the third time in a row. The series may have been sealed but the remaining matches are so crucial for players of both the teams to find a path to the respective senior teams.

Team News

Changes are expected in both sides with the series being sealed. The playing XI of both sides will be updated after the toss.

Pitch & Conditions

The surface at Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua is a touch slower than North Sound. So don’t expect fireworks from batsmen, like in the third unofficial ODI. The forecast is for few showers early in the morning, but there is no rain threat for the match.

Must have players

Shubman Gill

He is the top run-getter of the series so far with 149 runs from 3 games. His 77 in the last match had played a crucial role in India’s dominance. Another couple of good performances in the last two games will certainly push his case to the senior team for the upcoming Caribbean Tour of India.

Manish Pandey

India A skipper is slowly getting into the grooves after a poor start to the series. He played a handy knock in the second game and went into the third, where he took his batting to another level with a brisk century. If he continues his form in this way for the remaining two games, a call from the selection committee of the senior team is not too far away.

Romario Shepherd

He is the only positive for the West Indies A team in the series, as he is at the top of the charts when it comes to bowlers. He has picked 7 wickets in the 3 games he has played so far. There is every chance that he will come up with another good show on Friday as he did well at the venue in the first game of the series.

X factor players / Big bets

Krunal Pandya

He had come from nowhere in the last game and ripped off the Windies A batting line up with a 5-wicket haul. He may not have gotten a decent chance with the bat in the last game but he is equally dangerous with it as well. He is certainly a big bet player to consider for today’s match as he can change the game with his all-round ability from any situation.
