A lot on the table for sides in the dead rubber
In the penultimate match of Australia Domestic One Day Cup 2019, Victoria takes on South Australia in Melbourne. The contest on Tuesday has very little significance on how the tournament can pan out, as already Western Australia and Queensland have booked their spots in the final. However this is an opportunity for both the sides to finish in the top half of the table and also an opportunity to give bench players some game time.
Victoria possible XI:
Peter Siddle, Aaron Finch, Jon Holland, Marcus Harris, Peter Handscomb (c), Andrew Fekete, Matthew Short, Sam Harper (wk), Will Sutherland, Xavier Crone, Jake Fraser-McGurk
South Australia possible XI:
Callum Ferguson, Kane Richardson, Tom Cooper, Adam Zampa, Alex Ross, Daniel Worrall, Alex Carey (wk), Cameron Valente, Jake Lehmann (c), Jake Weatherald , Wes Agar
The surface at MCG is usually known to produce sporting games by offering enough assistance for everyone. In the first game of the season on Sunday it was the case as a score 252 was defended. So expect the same for the last match of both sides.
The Australian international player has been good for his state in the tournament by scoring at a PPM of 60. In the last 3 matches, he has scored a couple of 70+ scores which have been one of the reasons for the side’s victories in those matches.
His century in the last game may not have been good enough for the side’s fortune but it did make an impact in the fantasy cricket team. In the last two games, he is the top scorer for the side. He has a PPM of 67.4 and an MDTA of 1.25 in the last 5 games which makes him a must-have in the Dream11 cricket team.
The Victorian all-rounder has continued his good performance from the last season. He is amongst the top wicket-takers for the side. He has also chipped in with decent knocks down the order whenever the team needed it the most. His impressive PPM of 73 and MDTA of 1.25 in the last 5 matches make him the most sought after player in the match.
He is going through one of his best times in his career. He is always ready whether it is for his stateside or for his country. He has continued his recent good form of T20Is into the tournament as he picked 3 wickets in the last match. He has a PPM of 57.17 and an MDTA of 1.5 in the tour.
It is has been either all in or nothing from the Australian captain in the tournament. Apart from 188 in the last month, he hasn’t come up with a substantial knock for the team. His PPM of 73 and MDTA of 5 in the tour is a mirror reflection of his inconsistency and we expect nothing different from him as he is our big bet player in the match.
The 22-year old from South Australia is not too far away from Finch when it comes to inconsistency. Before the last two games, he had 8 wickets from 9 List-A matches and the wickets column has jumped to 18 in no time as he picked a couple of five-fers in back to back games. He has a PPM of 77.5 and MDTA of 2 in the tour.
