Strikers seek to continue the winning momentum to keep Renegades at bay
Melbourne Renegades the defending Champs is having a terrible time thus far in the season. They lost 3 out of 3 games played, and is the only team in the competition to have not registered a win yet. In their first two matches, they were at least a touch close to finish off, but against the Hurricanes they were demolished. On the flip side, the Strikers have won back to back games, after their opening game was abandoned. The bowling unit which was a slightly weaker one has come to the fore.
Aaron Finch is the most vital batsman of the match with a PPM of close to 50 in 141 matches. Jake Wetherald is next in the pecking order with a PPM of 42 in the format. Shaun Marsh, Philip Salt, and Alex Carey are also worthy picks in the match, all of them with a PPM of close to 40 in the format.
Rashid Khan is at the top of the charts in the bowling front with a PPM of 50 in the format. Kane Richarson and Harry Gurney are next in the list with a PPM of 45 & 40 respectively in the format. Peter Siddle is also a good choice in the match, as he has a PPM of 37 in the format.
Both sides are likely to stick with the same Playing XI of their respective last matches.
Melbourne Renegades possible XI:
Sam Harper(w), Aaron Finch(c), Shaun Marsh, Marcus Harris, Beau Webster, Daniel Christian, Tom Cooper, Cameron Boyce, Kane Richardson, Richard Gleeson, Harry Gurney
Adelaide Strikers possible XI:

In the past few seasons, the surface at Docklands Stadium in Melbourne had been on the low scoring side with average scores ranging between 140 to 150. Spinners have outplayed Pacers at the venue so expect the same trend to continue in today’s match as well.
The Strikers captain is in the form of his life, he has come up with back to back good knocks in the two matches played when the side was in trouble. He may not have a PPM in excess of 45 in the format but that is largely due to his role in the national side. He has an impressive PPM of 80 and an MDTA of 1 in the tour.
The Renegades captain is the top-rated batsman of the match with a PPM of close to 50 in the format. In the tour, he has lived up to it, he has provided the team with good starts in the first two games. In the last match, he has come up with a half-century. It may not have helped his team but he proved to be a consistent performer in the Dream11 cricket team.
The Afghanistan Spinner has lived up to the expectations on him in the two matches played. He has played the role of what he does best around the leagues. He provided the team with breakthroughs when needed most and chipped in with handy runs in the death overs. He has a PPM of 57 and MDTA of 1 in the tour.
He has continued from where he left in the previous season. His partnership with Carey in the middle of the innings has proved to be vital for Stickers, since it allowed them to post a decent total on the board. He has a PPM of 59 and MDTA of 1 in the tour.
He is yet to come up with his best in the tour, but he has been the most successful bowler for Renegades in the season. He has picked up a four-wicket haul against the Scorchers and proved to be the most economical bowler of the side in the season.
