Strikers look to continue their winning streak

Adelaide Strikers is the only team that is yet to be defeated in this year’s BBL. Apart from the one ‘No Result’ in their first match against the Thunders, the other three have been fruitful for them. On the other hand, the Thunders are coming of a defeat in the super over in Sydney derby, which is their only loss in the 4 matches that they have played.

Adelaide Strikers wouldn’t want to tinker with their winning combination from the previous match. As for Thunders they are also likely to go with the same XI as that of their last match.

Pitch and Conditions

There has been only one match that has happened at this venue this season and it was a rain affected one. The match was reduced to 18 over per side, but there wasn’t any shortage of runs, in both the innings, teams scored over 180.

Alex Carey

The left handed wicket-keeper batsman continues from where he had left last year, scoring mountains of runs. This year as well in the four innings that he has played he has scored 186 runs at a strike rate of 128. His PPM of 72.3 in this tournament is the second highest for any player from both the sides. His performance in every match has led him to the dream team in all the matches he has played

 

 

Callum Ferguson

The skipper of Thunders has been in thunderous form this season of BBL. With two half centuries, he has been the base of Thunders batting. He has piled up points in the fantasy team. He has a PPM 63.3 and an MDTA of 1.5.

 

 

Jonathan Wells

The middle order Strikers batsman is in sensational form scoring more than 150 runs at a healthy strike rate of 145. He has scored two half centuries in the four innings that he has played. With a PPM of high 45’s he has appeared in the dream team every match he has played.

 

 

Daniel Sams

Sams has been one of the choicest pick of bowlers in this BBL. With 7 wickets, he has at least picked one wicket in each of his match. He is also one of the regular point scorers in the fantasy teams, he has PPM of 45.67.

 

 

Rashid Khan

What can we say about the mystery man? His bowling still seems to be an unsolved mystery. Apart from his first match where he went for runs, the maestro has been exceptional. He is one of the players who is at the top of the table when it comes to scoring points, and with 72.67 his is the highest among players from both the sides. As the point suggests, he has been a part of the dream team in all the matches this tour.
