Evenly matched sides clash off in Coffs Harbour’s BBL debut
Sixers and Strikers two evenly matched sides which have done decently so far in the season clash off each other in the first match of Sunday’s doubleheader. Both sides have relative strengths and weaknesses which have put them in No.2 & 3 positions in the points table. Top-order and bowling are where Sixers’ strength lie and on the flipside batting is the stronger suit of Strikers.
Rashid Khan, Alex Carey, Tom Curran are the top punts of the match who all have a PPM above 60 in the tour. Jonathan Wells and James Vince may not have as high a PPM as the above 4 but they are not far away in the list with a PPM of 46 & 35 and with an MDTA of 1 & 1.25 respectively.
Jake Wetherald, Josh Phillip, Ben Manenti and Peter fiddle are also worthy picks in today’s match. They all have a PPM in 50 or close to it in the tour.
Moses Henriques who is expecting the birth of his first child is out for the match. Josh Hazlewood or Justin Avendano are likely to replace him in the XI. On the other side, Micheal Neser is likely to replace Wes Agar for the Strikers.
Sydney Sixers possible XI

Adelaide Strikers possible XI

There isn’t much historical information to ponder on about the International Sports Stadium in Coffs Harbour. This is the first BBL game played at this venue. There are few women’s BBL games and Domestic One Day games played here but those don’t seem any relevance for this contest.
He is one of the vital cogs of the Sixers bowling unit in the season. He has stepped up to the occasion whenever the team needed not only with the ball but also with a couple of crucial knocks. Given his form on the tour so far expect him to continue the good work in today’s match as well.
He holds the key for a bowling unit that lacks penetration. To this point in the tour, he has let down neither the Strikers nor the fantasy players. Just like Curran, he has also played a couple of vital knocks down the order which proved to be crucial for the side in the tour. He has the highest PPM of 73 among players of this match.
The Strikers middle-order batsman is the most consistent player of the match with an MDTA of 1 in the tour. He has played handy cameos or come up with crucial knocks for the side in the tour. His busy attitude at the crease makes him a worthy pick in today’s match.
He is just continuing his good form from the World Cup and also from the previous edition of BBL. In the season, whenever he has crossed 30+ score, the Strikers have been found to be on the right side. In today’s expect him to come up with another crucial knock after a rare failure in the last match.
He was the top run-getter for Strikers in the previous edition. He may not be one of those consistent players but when he has gone in, he has been a game-changer. This very nature of his makes him a big bet in today’s match.
