Bangladesh Premier League is all set to kick start its seventh edition of the league on Wednesday in Dhaka. The opener of the season features Chattogram Challengers against Syllnet Thunders. Pitch Report

The surface in Dhaka is known to offer enough assistance for slower bowlers. Since this is the first game of the season, we can expect a good surface to bat on.

Must have players

Johnson Charles

He is fresh from the exploits in CPL and T20 league where he was amongst the top run-getters. His impressive form in the last 5 games makes him a must-have in today’s match as he possesses the highest PPM among the batsmen.

Rubel Hossain

He may not have been a regular feature in the format for the national side in recent times but he had a phenomenal 2018-19 edition of BPL. He was the leading wicket-taker of the season. There is every chance he might repeat the feat to come back into the national side.

Ryan Burl

The young Zimbabwean all-rounder has come into the limelight with an impressive show in the Tri-Series in Bangladesh. Since then, he has been one of the top performers for the national side. In the last five games, he has chipped in with at least a wicket and his added batting credentials make in a must-have in today’s match.

Mahmudullah

The Challengers Skipper is the key batsman for the side. His experience playing at the highest level is one of the reasons for that. His PPM of 43 and MDTA of 1.7 in the format makes him a worthy pick in today’s match.

Krishmar Santokie

He has the highest PPM among bowlers for Thunders in the last 5 games of the format. He possesses the unique skill to deceive batsmen with his slower balls which will be so crucial in these conditions where it becomes tough for batting, as the game and tournament progress.
