The only two teams that haven’t got off the mark lock horns tonight
Both teams have lost their first two games and are looking for a turnaround. SLZ lost both their games quite comprehensively while JAM put up a huge and yet fell just short of a win against the Patriots. A loss tonight will make it harder for the team to get up the ladder. JAM has a lot of big names at the top and also arguably the best T20 all-rounder in the world. But their bowling lacked a bit of penetration but Oshane Thomas is trying to prove otherwise. The Zouks has a good mix of bowlers in their side but batting is their issue. A couple of all-rounders, who are the seniors as well, should step up to put up good totals.
Zahir Khan could be drafted in for Steven Jacobs (JAM). C De Grandhomme might replace A McCarthy.
The pitch at Jamaica has been batting friendly historically. The average first innings score last season was 178.
The Universe Boss has been in very good form since the last ODI vs India. He brought up his 22nd T20 century in the last game showing he still has it all.
Easily the most destructive all-rounder going around in the world, especially in the format. He has scored more than 5000 runs at a SR of 170 and picked up 273 wickets in T20s. He hasn’t had the opportunity to tee off just yet though.
Colin de Grandhomme
After a really successful series in SL, he is set to join the Zouks. He can be their game-changer with the bat. With 103 runs in his last 3 innings at a SR of 137 and a T20 record of almost 3000 runs, he is capable of changing his team’s fortunes.
The 22-year-old has a bag of tricks in his armory. He used them well in the first game and picked up 4/41. He is really the trump card with the ball as far as the Zouks is concerned.
