Apart from a lone game on Saturday, no game has seen high scores of above 160 so far in the tournament at the Brian Lara Stadium. So expect another tough day for the batsmen in the field. Picking as many bowling options as possible is the way to go on this surface.
The flamboyant batsman might have been dismissed for a golden duck in the last match but he is the leading run-scorer in the tournament. Given his form in the tour, there is every chance he will continue the same if he can see off the early off-spin dose.
The veteran spinner needs no introduction, his record in CPL speaks for itself. In 24 matches, he has a PPM of 46 and an MDTA of 1.33. He can be tried has a captain in Grand League.
The Kiwi pacer has been impressive so far in the tournament by picking at least a wicket or two in every match. In the last, he went a step ahead with picking a 4-wicket haul. His death bowling skills have yielded him the most wickets and we expect the same in this match as well.
He may be slow to get off his strides but in the last two games, he seems to have found his game both with bat and ball. Given his recent form and his track record, he picks himself in every fantasy team. He has PPM of 47 and an MDTA of 1.67 in 15 CPL games.
He may be new to this format but he is setting good standards with all-round performances. In the first match of the tour, he was instrumental with the bat and in later two he has chipped in with wickets. His MDTA of 1 and PPM of 75 in the tour makes him a must-have.
In the first two games, he has got to a decent start but didn’t convert it to a substantial knock but in the third, he made sure not to repeat the mistake. He is that kind of player who can change the game with his performances. In CPL, he has a PPM of 36 and an MDTA of 1.58.
