Rejuvenated Australia face off confident India
Australia faces India after their thrilling win against West Indies, where they have replicated the old mojo of the side which is capable of winning a game from any given situation. On the other side, India has started the tournament on a winning note against South Africa. It may have been an easy win from the outset but they had to work hard against the depleted South African attack. On Sunday their batting will be up for a test against Australia which is at its full strength and the very contest may determine the outcome of the match as Indian bowling seems to have the capability to challenge Australian batsmen.
The Surface at the Kennington Oval has been high scoring in recent times and the first two games played here in the tournament is evidence of that. But in the last game, there were signs of slowness and a hint of turn for spinners. Weather-wise it is expected to be dry throughout the day.
Australia is unlikely to change their winning combination. On the other hand, India might consider Shami in place of Bhuvneswar.
The Australian ex-captain has shown tremendous composure in the side’s last game against West Indies in a tricky situation. He just seems to be enjoying the game by the fact that he is playing international cricket after some time. He is definitely a must-have player in the Dream11 fantasy cricket team in today’s match considering his recent form, where he scored 207 runs in the last 3 games, which includes a century against England in the warm-up fixture.
The centurion of the previous match, has a good record against Australians historically. Out of his total 23 centuries, 7 of them have come against the Aussies which a sign of how he has the ability to take his opponents to the cleaners. He has a score of 95 & 56 against the Aussies in the last two matches. But, if he has to continue the good form he has to overcome Pat Cummins and Zampa against whom he got out twice each in the last 5 encounters.
He is in the form of his life in the past year or so, across formats which makes him a must-have player in Dream11 fantasy cricket team. He also had the better of Indian batsmen in recent ODI series where he was the top wicket-taker of the series. He dismissed the Indian openers twice in the series and he will be eager to replicate the same in today’s match.
He may have found it tough to push through in the first two games of the tournament but he will be a happy man on Sunday playing against India. He has enjoyed batting against India in recent times where he was the top run-getter of the ODI series a few months ago. So, that makes him a worthy pick to have in the Dream11 fantasy cricket team against India.
The Australian opener has mixed records against India where he scored fluently in the last ODI series. Unlike that, he has struggled to lay his before. He will look to take the Indian bowlers to the cleaners irrespective of pace or spin. His inconsistency makes him an unworthy captain or vice-captain choice in Dream11 fantasy cricket team for today’s mat
