South Africa (SA) vs West Indies (WI)

Can South Africa bounce back?

South Africa is in its lowest point ever in the World Cup with losing three games on the trot. The injury concerns haven’t gone well for them as they seemingly lost some depth in the bowling and now they have been hit by DeVilliers row, which might shake the morale of the team even more. West Indies went through those low phases before this tournament, but now they seem like a rejuvenated side. They may not have won the last game against Australia but they once again made their presence felt after their win against Pakistan. So on Monday, it will be a contest between two teams whose morale is at the opposite ends of the spectrum.

Team News

West Indies is likely to go with the same combination as the last game. South Africa might consider bringing in Markram in place of Miller or Amla. They may also consider bringing in Hendricks or Pretorious in place of Shamsi.

Pitch & Conditions

The Rose Bowl has been producing high scoring games in recent times apart from the last game between South Africa and India where the surface was not at its usual nature. Weather-wise there is forecast for rain before the match but it’s clear for the rest of the day.

Must have players

Shai Hope

He is a must-have player in Dream11 fantasy cricket team for today’s match as he is in the form of his life. He has scored 341 runs in the last 5 matches in the format which includes a century and 3 half-centuries. He has also scored 72 runs in the last match he played at the venue.

Rassie van der Dussen

He has been the sides consistent batsman in the middle order, over the past few months. Apart from a little set back in the last match, he has played vital knocks for the teams in the last 5 matches which makes him a worthy player to have in the Dream11 fantasy cricket team in today’s match.

Jason Holder

The West Indies skipper has been helpful with his all-rounder ability in recent past. He scored 200 runs in the last 5 matches and also picked 6 wickets. So he is a worthy player to have in Dream11 fantasy cricket team as he can exploit the weakness of the Proteas.

X factor players / Big bets

Hashim Amla

The veteran batsman was not in the greatest of form coming into the World Cup but he showed some signs of form in the warm up fixtures. But later he failed to continue the same in the main matches. Now it’s high time for him to stand out alongside captain Duplessis as the team needs a spirited performance. That’s where his good record against the West Indies bowlers in the past few encounters may come in handy.

Chris Gayle

Of late, The Universe Boss is in great form where he scored runs at a brisk pace in the last 5 matches. He may have been dismissed early in the last game but for the time that he was there, he looked like he was in good form. On Monday against the weak Proteas, he might be the game changer as he is known to take down the low key bowlers to the cleaners.
