Australia (AUS) Vs Bangladesh (BAN)

Battle of the best – Top Run Scorer Shakib vs. Top Wicket Taker Starc

Bangladesh is coming into this game with a high after a thumping victory against West Indies. Australia, meanwhile is also in a positive mood after comfortably sitting in top 4 position. But the fact of the matter is that if Australia manages to defeat Bangladesh, then it already means that the next 20 league games don’t matter at all, as all the top 4 teams will qualify for semi finals if they manage to win just 1 more game in their remaining 3 or 4 matches.

Team News

Australia will be buoyed by the return of Marcus Stoinis and Nathan Coulter Nile as they could well go with the team which they started with in this World Cup. Shaun Marsh, Kane Richardson and Jason Behrendorff might have to make way. Bangladesh is unlikely to make any changes.

Pitch Report

Nottingham has been a run scoring fest for batsmen in the past few years and it is unlikely to change today too. Short boundaries and flat wickets means bowlers will have a field day.

Must have players

Aaron Finch

Aaron Finch has worked very hard on his weakness against the inswinging deliveries and the result is there for everyone to see. He has amassed 343 runs so far in this World Cup (3rd highest) and has been giving solid partnerships with David Warner at the top for Aussies.

Shakib-Al-Hasan

Shakib al Hasan has been one of the standout performers so far in this edition of the World Cup and he will be one of the contenders for Man of the Tournament if he continues his rich vein of form. He is the highest run scorer in this World Cup so far with 384 runs in 4 innings and has picked up 5 wickets so far. It would take some guts for anyone to drop this in-form run machine from their Dream11 team.

Mitchell Starc

Mitchell Starc is the joint highest wicket taker in this World Cup along with Mohammad Amir with 13 wickets. He has cleaned up the opposition tail pretty quickly so far and with Bangladesh having a long tail, expect Mitchell Starc to pick up wickets in bulk today. His ability to swing the ball upfront will also be crucial for the Aussies. So that makes him a worthy player to have in Dream11 fantasy cricket team for today’s match.
