Bermuda (BER) Vs Namibia (NAM)

Namibia seek to keep Bermuda’s losing streak intact

We are already in the second half of the season and the team from Bermuda is yet to open their account and they are the only team without a win in Group A. Apart from a feeble attempt against Singapore they haven’t been in the contest with the matches they have played so far. On the other hand, Namibia after the first two defeats against the top 2 teams in Group A, has found a much-needed win against Scotland and kept their chances to finish in Top 6 alive. They couldn’t have asked for a side lesser than Bermuda to climb the ladder.

Team News

Bermuda is likely to tinker with the playing XI to find some confidence. Namibia will hopefully stick with their winning combination

Pitch Report

The day’s first match in Dubai has always been good for batting where the average score of teams that bat first is around 150. But, in the second half of the game the surface had slowed down in the last two games played here, which proved to be tough for the chasing team.

Must have players

JJ Smit

He is the second-highest point scorer for the side in the tournament. His partnership with skipper Erasmus against Scotland was vital for their maiden victory of the tournament. He has a PPM of 58 and an MDTA of 1.5 on the tour.

Jan Frylinck

He is one among the top wicket-takers of the tournament where he has picked 8 wickets in 3 matches. He has a PPM of over 70 and an MDTA of 1 on the tour which makes him the most sought after player in the match.

Janeiro Tucker

Bermuda may not be in a great space at this point in the tournament. With three losses in three games played so far, they have been at the bottom half of the table. But Tucker has shown some fight with a couple of decent knocks and also chipped in wickets when needed. He has a PPM of 45 in the 3 matches that he has played in the tournament.

Delray Rawlins

Alongside Tucker he is the only other Bermuda player who has come up with a decent performance. In the last 5 matches, he has the highest PPM amongst the fellow Bermuda players where he has a PPM of 51 and an MDTA of 1.67.

X factor players / Big bets

Stephan Baard

He may not have been at his best in the first match of the tournament, but he is the kind of player who either hits a big knock or just perishes for a low score. This volatile nature makes him a big bet to consider in the fantasy team against struggling Bermuda. He has a PPM of 43 and an MDTA of 1.75 in the format.
