Biggest challenge awaits for PNG
The two sides Papua New Guinea and Netherlands which showed utmost domination in Group A face-off each other on Thursday in Dubai in what will be an enthralling match within their group. The Netherlands is right at the top in Group A and is the only team to be unbeaten. There is nothing much to ponder about their weakness in the side, apart from the Top order which has been inconsistent. On the other hand, Papua New Guinea too seemed to unstoppable before their narrowest defeat to Scotland a couple of days ago. But apart from Scotland, they haven’t played against a strong opposition so far. It will be fascinating to see whether they break the big hurdle or surrender to it.
Both sides are unlikely to tinker with their playing XI of the last match.
The surface at ICC Academy in Dubai has produced good sporting matches at the start of the tournament but the surface slowed in the last couple of matches. So we expect a surface that is going to be tricky for batsmen as given the case in recent times.
The Netherlands’ opener has been a consistent performer for the side at the top of the order where he has a score of 35, 21 & 53 in the tournament. His PPM of 53 and MDTA of 1 makes him the most sought after player in the Dream11 cricket team.
