An opportunity for the Tigers to leap up to the 3rd spot
HT is the only team to lose two out of two games in the KPL so far. They are still not in a position so to speak. A win tonight will take them right up to the third spot. BP lost their first game by a whisker and then had their second game washed out. The former champions are desperate for a win. HT has a lot of experience, skill, and variety in their bowling but their batting has let the team down so far. BP have an array of batsmen, established ones too. Even if a couple of them fire, they can put up a big score. Their bowling is their weaker suit with just 5 recognized bowlers.
Manish Pandey is expected to play today as well. So no likely changes for BP. HT should give the same XI another go.
The wicket continues to be undercover, making it slightly harder for batting. Spinners are expected to have a good day out again. There are some thunderstorms around tonight as well.
The Lions WK-Batsman has been in terrific form since Day 1 of the KPL. His 88* in their first game has turned many eyes on him.
The veteran all-rounder is a must-have given his prowess with the ball and powerful hitting lower down the order. He has been extremely economical even though he has picked up only 1 wicket in 2 games. But he has scored 48 runs in 25 balls.
The highest wicket-taker for HT so far with 4 wickets in 6 overs at an economy of 5.33.
The Panthers’ batsman has not had a proper hit so far in the tournament. If he gets going, he can demolish attacks. His SR in 2018 was 167 and 188 in the 2017 edition
