Tshwane Spartans (TST) Vs Durban Heat (DUR)

Durban desperate to find a win

Rain seems to be following the Heat and the Spartans wherever they go. Two of three matches have been washed out for these two sides. In the remaining only game, Spartans has registered their first win of the season against the Rocks. On the flip side, the Heat is yet to register a win as they lost to the Blitz in their only complete game. Now it may not be a must-win situation for Heat, considering there are still a lot of matches to be played. But, another loss will certainly build more pressure on them. On the other hand, the Spartans must be a relieved side after their win against the Rocks and now they seek to continue the same at home.

Pitch & Conditions

The surface in Centurion is known to produce high scoring games whether it comes to domestic or international games in this format. So expect the same for today’s contest as well if the rain gods allow a complete match as the forecast is for rain at the start and in the second half of the game.

Must have players

AB de Villiers

The modern-day legend hasn’t had much to do in the last match as the bulk of the runs were scored by the top-order batsmen. But in today’s match with overcast conditions in store, he might come on to bat sooner than expected. His PPM of 52.8 and MDTA of 1.25 in the last 5 games make him a must-have in today’s match.

Dean Elgar

He may not be one of those batsmen who is known for his credentials in the T20 format, but he seems to be writing a new chapter. He hasn’t played a single T20 since the MSL but he hasn’t shown any signs of lack of game time in the last match. His knock was the reason for the side’s dominance against the Rocks. He has a PPM of 55 and an MDTA of 1.25 in the last 5 games.

Theunis de Bruyn

He has lived up to his recent good form of the format in the last game where he provided the team with a good start. In the last 5 matches, he has five 40+ scores which makes him the most sought after player in the Dream11 cricket team for today’s match.

Andile Phehlukwayo

The South African international player holds a key position in the side, especially with a lack of quality bowlers in the side. Apart from a match, he chipped in with at least a wicket in the last 5 matches. Adding to it, his batting down the order makes him a worthy pick to consider in today’s match.

Ravi Bopara

He may have come into the tournament on the back of the good form from T20 Blast, but the quality of his performance in the MSL has been much higher than what it was previously. He has a PPM of 78.4 and an MDTA of 1 in the last 5 matches.
