Tshwane Spartans (TST) vs Paarl Rocks (PR)

The Rocks seek to avenge

Paarl Rocks are at the top and Tshwane Spartans which is at No.3 in the points table clash in the reverse fixture at Supersport in Centurion. Last time, when these two sides met Spartans outplayed the Rocks in a high scoring affair. Apart from that loss, Rocks have had a great season thus far by winning four out of the six matches played, and one of them washed out. On the other hand, the Spartans campaign has been hit by rain as three out their 5 matches being washed out and they won the remaining two when the rain stayed away from them.

Team News

The Rocks might consider leaving out Sibonelo Makhanya if Dwaine Pretorius is fit to play. The Spartans is likely to stick with their winning combination.

Pitch Report

The surface in Centurion is known for batting-friendly tracks but in the season it hasn’t been the case with a lot of rain around. Now with the weather cleared for the better, expect few runs to flow since not many games have been played here in the tournament.

Must have players

James Vince

He has been the most consistent Rocks batsmen in the tournament. He got the team out of the hole every time the top order departed early. He has an impressive PPM of 68 and MDTA of 1 in the four matches played.

AB de Villiers

Out of the two completed Spartans matches, he hasn’t had much to play in them and in the other, he has come up with a half-century. His recent good form is quite replicated in his PPM of 49 and MDTA of 1.25 in the last 5 matches.

Dean Elgar

He may have departed after a good start in the last match, but he is capable of producing big knocks like he did in the first game. His PPM of 72 and MDTA of 1 in the two matches played in the tournament make him a must-have in today’s game.

Tabraiz Shamsi

He has performed above his weight in the tournament as he finds himself in the top wicket-takers with 9 wickets from 5 matches. He has a PPM of 52 and an MDTA of 1 in the tour which makes him the most sought after player in the Dream11 cricket team for today’s match.

X factor players / Big bets

Cameron Delport

He may not have gotten into form in the tournament yet but he is too good a player to be out of form for a long time. He has a good record against the Spartan bowlers, and this is a good time for him to come back to his usual. He has a strike rate of close to 150 against most of the Spartan bowlers with at least 10 balls faced.
