It has been a tough season for Amo Sharks so far. They are yet to win a single game and are standing on the thin ice to be knocked out from the tournament. Now, they are scheduled to play Mis Ainak Knights, who are in brilliant form throughout the season.
Knights are currently placed second in the points table while Sharks are at the bottom. Speaking of performances, Knights are heavily reliant on the performance of Mohammad Shehzad in the batting order and without any surprise, he has been exceptional with the bat. But, the team is suffering because of the inability of the bowlers to defend big scores on the board.
On the other hand, Amo Sharks has failed in all departments of the game in this season so far. Apart from Javed Ahmadi, Rasooli and A Wasi, none of the players from Sharks’ stood tall against any opposition. However, it would be interesting to see how they tackle in-form Ainak Knights.
A Wasi, Murad Muradi, Darwish Rasooli, Farhan Zakhail, Shawkat Zaman, Juma Gul, Hayatullah Nasri, Amanullah Rafiqi, Shir Sherzai, Javed Ahmadi, Imran Mohammadi
Mohammad Shahzad (WK), Hashmatullah Shahidi, Najeeb Tarakai, Bahar Ali, Ghamai Zadran, Pakhtoon, Shahidullah Kamal, Abdul Rhaman, Dawlat-Zadran, Noor Ahmad, Shapoor Zadran
As usual, pitch will be beneficial for both batsmen and bowlers. So far, it has been the ground for top-order batsmen and for the spinners, who can bowl tight lines. It is once again expected to be same. In evening matches, the run-scoring looked easy in the last few games. Perhaps, it could be same for this contest as well.
Without any further considerations, one should pick Shahzad in their team at any cost. The flamboyant batsman is in purple patch and scoring runs for fun. With opponents having inexperienced bowlers, we expect him to do well again. His numbers are far greater than any other in this game.
He is the find of the tournament for Afghanistan. Mazari is using the conditions of the pitch to perfection and helping his side to make things fall in place. He has got PPM of 61 in the tournament so far.
Yet another player, who is having a brilliant tournament. Despite his side is failing to make things happen, Rasooli has been exceptional with the bat. He has got PPM of 72 in this tour, which shows his consistency with the bat.
Surprisingly, he is failing to deliver for his team. He has got foot numbers go his name but failed to make things happen in this season. However, going by his stats, we expect him to come good at some stage of tournament and this game could be that. Thus, we chose him as our big bet for this game.
The star bowler is our miss tonight. He maybe an experienced international bowler but his recent form isn’t that great to be in the small league team. Giving importance to stats, we decided to drop him from our fantasy XI.
