The County Ground in Chelmsford has been on the high scoring side in the last few seasons. In the first match of the season, it was no different where Middlesex scored 184 before rain spoiled the sport. The forecast for today’s match though seems promising for a full game with no threat of rain.
He has been amongst the national ranks in the last couple of seasons and has been among the top run-scorers for Essex. He may not have contributed much in the last game but he is kind of a player who won’t be out of the limelight for long.
The veteran allrounder is a must-have in any fantasy team given his track record in T20 Blast and in general in the format. He is up and running in the tournament with a contribution of 63 points. He has a PPM of 44 and an MDTA of 1.61 in 45 matches.
He is among the top wicket-takers for Hampshire in the format. His PPM.of 37 and MDTA of 1.51 in the format makes him a worthy pick in the fantasy team.
He is in good form in the season where he has been amongst the wickets in Bob Wills Trophy. He seems to be continuing the same form in the T20 Blast where chipped in with all-round performances.
Given there are many high profile players at the top of the order for Essex he misses out in our team even after his performance in the last match. Adding to the very aspect given the conditions on offer we expect not much for him at the crease in this encounter.
