Worcestershire, Northamptonshire Look For A Positive Start
Guess What? Every team, apart from two teams, is stationed at the same place in the points table with the same points. However, it is the year 2020 and anything impossible can be possible here. All the games were washed out with rain god showing no mercy. However, we might see a full game for this contest with only a little chance of rain.
Worcestershire has announced the same playing XI for the game, with Moeen Ali and Wayne Parnell staying away. Ed Barnard will lead the team while seniors like Rutherford and Wessels will look after the batting department. The bowling section is filled with full of youngsters.
On the other hand, Northamptonshire added Paul Stirling, who is there a new contract for this season alongside players with international experience like Richard Levi and Blessing Muzurabani. All in all, the team looks very strong on the paper with a lot of class players in the side.
Josh Cobb (c), Adam Rossington (wk), Paul Stirling, Richard Levi, Alex Wakely, Tom Sole, Saif Zaib, Nathan Buck/G White, Gareth Berg, Ben Sanderson, Blessing Muzarabani.
Riki Wessels, Hamish Rutherford, Brett D’Oliveira, Ben Cox (w), Ross Whiteley, Ed Barnard, Daryl Mitchell, Dillon Pennington, Charlie Morris, Adam Finch, Josh Tongue
So far, the venue has always seen giving equal assistance for both batsmen and bowlers. With continuous rain in the last few days, the pitch might have moisture on it, which would give initial assistance for the fast bowlers. As the game progresses, the ball comes on the bat nicely to go with their shots. Spinners will also come into play. All in all, an even contest is at the store.
At the drop of a hat, Paul Stirling has to be on your side. The Irish All-Rounder is a proven match-winner in T20 cricket and can do a phenomenal job in the batting department. Besides that, he can roll his arm in this format of the game.
Yet another player, who has the caliber to make a difference in the middle with the bat. The right-handed batsman has always been consistent for his and one of the best smashers of the cricket ball. Thus, he enters our must-have list.
The hard-hitting batsman is one such player, who can take the game away from the opposition within moments of time with his batting. Having played over 200 T20 games, Richard Levi has the experience to tackle various bowling attacks.
Yet another experienced player from this game, who can talk with his bat. Last Year, he smashed 6 sixes in an over and turned out to be one of the frequent run-scorers for the team. We expect him to deliver once again in a similar way. Thus, we went with him as our Big Bet.
The fast bowler of Northamptonshire with an international experience of playing for Zimbabwe is our notable miss from this game. Northampton already got bowlers like Sanderson and Glover, who have delivered well in the past. We stick with them and unfortunately, missing out Blessing Muzarabani.
