Top team against the team yet to win a match
The unbeaten team is going to face off against the team with no wins yet. Except the first game in which their batting failed, the Dragons have looked like the team to beat. They have won all their games quite comfortably so far. The Warriors on the other hand came ever so close to a win on two occasions but lost in the super over. A run here and there would have given them 4 points but unfortunately, they are yet to get off the mark. A loss here means even a mathematical possibility won’t exist.
DIN should go in with an unchanged team while RUB will probably look to experiment. The likes of DT Chandrashekar and A Barooah might get another look in the middle order. DIN middle order has not been tested much yet but that situation has not arised yet thanks to the prolific pair of Jagadeesan and Hari Nishanth. Their bowling looks solid. If there’s any chink in the armour, it has to be their middle order. RUB have both batting and bowling woes. Other than Vijay, no batsman has an aggregate of even 75 runs so far in the tournament. In the bowling department, their captain hasn’t quite hit the strides yet and that is affecting their plans big time.
The pitch will continue to assist the spinners a touch but will also be high scoring one for sure. Just like yesterday, we might be in for two high scoring games. The teams chasing will be under pressure as the wicket will get slower. More than 35% of the wickets yesterday were taken by the spinners.
The highest run getter in TNPL across seasons and also this season so far. The most prolific batsman in the league is also a good wicket keeper. He is an absolute must have in the team.
Easily the best spinner in the country so far is proving his worth with the white ball as well. He not only ties up one end, but also picks up wickets regularly (6 wickets with eco 5.5). His batting in the middle order adds up his weightage.
The only ray of sunshine in the team. He has lived up to his reputation and been consistently scoring 50+ runs at a healthy strike rate.
With Ashwin and Jagadeesan in the limelight, his performances have been forgotten. Kaushik has been providing breakthroughs at regular intervals including a good new ball spell. He has picked up 6 wickets at a SR of 14 and Economy of 6.28.

The RUB skipper has put up a lacklustre performance so far. With just 3 wickets in 4 games, he will have to step up and provide some inspiration to his team.
