Derbyshire (DER) Vs Worcestershire (WOR)

Worcestershire is placed well in the points table at number 3 now. They are also a game short of the team above them. Derbyshire is placed 8th as of now but a win will take them right up to the 4th spot. WOR won on both occasions last season and also won the game at Worcester this year. Except for a couple of close losses, WOR have won convincingly in all games. Their array of batsmen and all-rounders is something to boast about. DER have as many as 8 all-rounders amongst their ranks but the lack of specialists is hurting them a bit.

Team News

WOR will be boosted by the return of their skipper M Ali. He is likely to replace R Whiteley. DER bossed their last game and are likely to go in with the same combination.

Pitch Report

The pitch in Derby has been a high scoring one. Only two games have been played this season and both games have been won by the team batting first, suggesting the pitch slows down a touch in the second half. The forecast seems to be good for a full 20 over game.

Must have players

Moeen Ali

Though he is coming off a tough couple of Test matches, this format should help him gain his confidence back. The last time he played a match (few weeks ago) in the Vitality blast, he look 4 wickets and scored 32 runs.

Wayne Parnell

Not only has he taken the most number of wickets for WOR this season, but he has also contributed 127 runs with the bat. His consistent all-round abilities make him a must have in the Dream11 fantasy cricket team.

Wayne Madsen

The DER number 3 batsman has been as consistent as it can get. He is the second highest run getter for his side with 219 runs at a SR of 157.5.

Ravi Rampaul

The Windies veteran has literally had a ball with the ball this season. He has picked up at least a wicket every game he has played and also took 2/17 the last time these two teams met.

X factor players / Big bets

Leus du Plooy

The 24 year old left handed batsman from South Africa started off the tournament with some blistering knocks but the graph became flat after a while. He scored a 22 ball 50 in the last game, suggesting he is back in form and can destroy attacks.
