Another chapter in the fight for the top 2
Lancashire is topping the table as of now, followed closely by Worcestershire. A win for WOR will take them to the top while a win for LAN will extend their lead to an almost unassailable one. WOR has an array of batsmen and all-rounders and it is something to boast about. They have all done their bit in the games so far, helping the Rapids perform well as a team. LAN have been exceptional as a team. Their batsmen are in a really good from combined with some terrific tight bowling from their bowlers. Only one of their bowlers has an economy of over 8.
Both teams should go in with the same playing XI as last game.
Two games out of three at this venue have been won by the team chasing suggesting it will be a good wicket throughout.
The overseas pro from Australia is the highest run getter for his side (LAN). He has scored 242 runs in just 5 innings so far at a SR of 166.
The all-rounder took a break from all forms after a poor Ashes Test. He came back with a bang though, scoring an unbeaten 85 and also picked up a wicket.
Third in the highest wicket takers list for the whole tournament. He has 17 wickets in just 7 innings. He has taken a wicket every 10 balls in the league so far.
The all-rounder has been compared to Jos Buttler for his batting. For a player of his stature, he has not had an amazing game so far though he has a few good games. He has scored 151 runs and picked up 12 wickets so far. If he gets going, he can be virtually unstoppable.
