India (IND) Vs West Indies (WI)

India boosted with return of Kohli and Bhuvneshwar

India hasn’t had a great 2019 year so far, Out of the five series played this year they have won only two of those. However, the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and their skipper Virat Kohli will be an uplift as India will look to close in the perfect batch for the World T20 later in 2020. As for the West Indies, they are still in search of a series win in 2019. The two-time world champions are coming off of a series defeat against Afghanistan. The newly-appointed skipper Pollard backed the young squad to perform well.

Lokesh Rahul and Virat Kohli top the PPM charts with 65.6 and 52.6 among the batsmen in last 5 matches. The West Indies skipper Kieron Pollard leads the PPM list for them and is third in line with 48.4 among the batsmen. All eyes will be on Shreyas Iyer who has been splendid in his last few outings, he has a PPM 43.2 which is impressive.

Pitch Report

Hyderabad has been one of the bigger grounds in India, which gives the bowlers extra leverage. The pacers and spinners both have had decent success at this venue. However, in IPL 2019, there were few high scoring encounters which would be encouraging for the batsmen for today’s match.

Must have players

Lokesh Rahul

The Karnataka opener is coming off a purple patch from the winning campaign of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2019/20. Rahul scored over 300 runs at a strike rate of over 152. Now in the absence of Dhawan, he is all set to open the innings alongside Rohit. Rahul has a PPM of 65.6 in the last five T20 matches which suggest the kind of form he has been in. Not only in the last few matches, but also in general his PPM of 49.6 in T20 international is exceptional.

Virat Kohli

The Indian skipper is back into the squad after a break in the series against Bangladesh. Virat has been in good form in T20Is in 2019 with an average of over 50. He has always been one of the most trending players in the fantasy cricket team, he has PPM value of 53.4 in his T20 international career with 1.48 MDTA.

Washington Sundar

The young off-spinner has been one of the most successful opening bowlers for India in T20Is. He has always been among the points maker list in the fantasy league. He has PPM of 69.2 in the last five T20 matches that is the best among the players of both the teams.

Deepak Chahar

The record holder for the best bowling figures in T20Is is in prime form. Deepak Chahar also has been one of the regulars in the fantasy teams, in the last five T20 matches, his PPM of 51.4 is on the impressive side.

Kesrick Williams

The right-arm quick made a come back to the West Indies squad against Afghanistan and his performance was commendable against them in all the three matches, where he picked up two or more wickets in all the three. His PPM of 65.4 in the last 5 matches is the best among all the West Indies players.

Kieron Pollard

The West Indies skipper had a great outing in the Caribbean Premier League scoring close to 350 runs at a strike rate of 159. He couldn’t continue the same form against Afghanistan but is expected to be one of the key players for this series. His PPM of 48.4 in the last five T20 matches makes him a must-have player.
