Bangladesh (BAN) vs Zimbabwe (ZIM)

Expect Zimbabwe to be competitive in T20Is

After a mostly one-sided ODI series, Bangladesh and Zimbabwe gear up for a two-match T20I series as the action moves to Dhaka. Both these sides have clashed each other in the T20I Tri-series in September 2019 where Bangladesh came out victorious against the visitors. But in this format, Zimbabwe has been more competitive in recent times which makes the T20I series an interesting one to watch out for.

Pitch Report

Dhaka hasn’t been an easy scoring venue where it usually offers two-paced surfaces. Spin is a big factor here historically and it will be the case in this series as well. The average score of first innings in the last 3 matches is around 150.

Must have players

Liton Das

He was phenomenal in the recently concluded ODI series where he has been adjudged as the player of the series. In T20Is we expect him to continue the same as there is a spot up for grabs at the top of the order.

Tamim Iqbal

Das may have taken all the limelight in ODIs but the veteran batsman was almost there with back to back centuries in the last ODIs. Given his experience and known to perform on a consistent basis make him a must-have in today’s match.

Mohammad Saifuddin

He has come back in style after an injury lay off. In the ODIs he was the top wicket-taker of the series. His record against Zimbabwe is also right up there where he scored at PPM of 42 in matches.
