Sri Lanka (SL) vs Scotland (SCO)

The team from the Island county had been starving for a win for quite some time. Now they have finally broken the shackles, as they found a much-needed win on Tuesday against Scotland. Having lost the toss and put to bat first, Sri Lanka responded well for the challenge as they got a good start and continued it through the innings to post a decent total on the board. Later they bowled Scotland out for 199 runs.

FD Players Performance
Players who performed well

Avishka Fernando

He lived up to the pre-match expectations of fantasy cricket players, as he came up with a vital knock at the top. He continued the good work that he showcased in South Africa and with that, he has nailed an opening slot for himself in the starting XI for the World Cup. His brisk knock also allowed Karunaratne to take his time early in the innings. He made 54.5 fantasy points.

Dimuth Karunaratne

He certainly proved his worth at the top, as he had come up with an impressive knock. He played the anchor role for the side, as he took his time and played cautiously through the innings. His partnership with Fernando had set a good platform for the middle order later in the innings. He made 54 points in the match.

Nuwan Pradeep

He was adjudged as the player of the match for his match-defining spell. He came up with his career-best figures of 4/34 as he took the life out of Scotland’s chase by picking wickets at various crucial stages. He certainly proved to be a worthy pick for fantasy cricket players as he made 52 points.

George Munsey

He was the lone warrior for Scotland as he somehow managed to score even when wickets fell around him. He was also handy with his fielding in the match. In the end, his knock may not have taken his team home but he certainly proved his worth in the fantasy cricket team. He made 48.5 fantasy points.

Players who didn’t Perform

Calum MacLeod

He failed to continue his impressive record at the venue as he departed for just a run in the chase. His early dismissal put enormous pressure on the middle order as he was considered as the main batsman for Scotland. He made only 2.5 points.

Angelo Mathews

The experienced batsman didn’t show any signs of form in his short stay at the crease. He looked vulnerable as he struggled to rotate the strike. His poor show may not have come to hunt Sri Lanka but it certainly did for fantasy cricket players, as he could only score 2.5 points.
