Expert Review of Australia (AUS) Vs India (IND)

India wins against Australia in a high scoring thriller

India registered their second win of the tournament as they dominated proceedings against Australia at the Oval. Having won the toss and electing to bat first, Indian openers got a good start which they later built on through the middle overs. In the death overs, middle order batsmen accelerated through the gears to post 350 on the board. Chasing a big target Australian batsmen were cautious in the powerplay which didn’t go well for them. Later in the innings, wickets continued to fall at regular intervals as the required rate mounted high every passing over.

FD Players Performance
Players who performed well

Shikhar Dhawan

He laid the platform well for India at the top of the order alongside Rohit. After the opening partnership, he continued the good work and accelerated through the innings in the middle overs. His knock helped middle order batsmen to get going, later in the innings. He was the top point scorer of the match as well as the player of the match for his match-winning century.

Virat Kohli

Virat who walked into the crease after the departure of Rohit continued the good work done by the openers. He was busy rotating the strike and played the anchor role throughout the Indian innings. In the end, he also put in his efforts to maximize the score. He made 53 fantasy points.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar

He came up with a good opening spell, where he gave a tough time for Australian openers with his expert bowling. Later in the middle overs, he picked the crucial wicket of Smith and in the death overs he removed the tail. He also proved to be handy with his fielding and he made 44 points overall.

Steven Smith

He tried to take the chase as deep as possible, but he couldn’t sustain till the end. The required rate forced him to play out of his comfort zone. He may not have taken his team home but he proved to be a worthy pick for fantasy cricket players as he made 42 points.

Players who didn’t Perform

Adam Zampa

His sloppy bowling in the middle overs is one of the reasons why Australia couldn’t restrict India’s score. He never was in any sort of rhythm through his spell in the match, which in turn lifted the pressure created by the Aussie opening bowlers. He made only 0.5 points in the match and proved to be a big disappointment for Dream11 fantasy cricket players.

Kuldeep Yadav

He failed to continue his good form from the last match as he couldn’t get a wicket on Sunday. He certainly failed to live up to the expectations of fantasy cricket players as he made only 2 fantasy points.
