Australia pull off another close game
Australia bounced back with a win after their loss to India a couple of days back. Even then, the win was not as convincing as the margin projects it to be. Having lost the toss and put to bat first, Australia got a great start with the openers firing from all ends. Later, Warner continued the same in the middle overs but after his dismissal, Australia lost their way as they collapsed in the death overs. It made them settle for a score of 307. In the second half, Pakistan may have lost the early wicket but they built on handy partnerships throughout the chase. At one point, it seemed as though Pakistan would win the game, but the Aussies somehow managed to pull things back by picking wickets at the very end of the chase.
He stood apart from the other Pakistan bowlers, who were below par in the sporting conditions. He has come up with an impressive 5-wicket haul which helped Pakistan restrict the Aussies for under 310. It all started with the wicket of Finch, which ended the dangerous partnership. Later he didn’t allow the middle and lower middle order batsmen to take advantage of the good start. He was the top point scorer of the Dream11 fantasy cricket team with 72 points.
After his half-century against India, Warner had stepped up a level as he came up with an impressive 100. He may have been cautious early on in the innings but he displyed the old fire when he settled well into the innings. His partnership with Finch was the crucial phase of the match where the Australians dominated. He made 66 fantasy points and also adjudged as the performer of the match.
He was up and running from the word go at the top of the order for the Aussies. His aggressive approach allowed Warner to take his time to settle into the long innings. This approach put Pakistan’s bowling plans to rest throughout his stay at the crease. He made 64 fantasy points.
He may not have caused trouble to the Australian batsmen with his bowling, but he certainly posed a challenge for their pacers with his batting. When he walked into the crease, the team needed him to stick around Sarfraz by spending some time at the crease. He turned out to be the aggressor as he came up with some blistering shots. He made 44.5 fantasy points.
Chasing an above par target in sporting conditions, the team needed him to get a good start. But, he failed to score any runs as he was dismissed for a duck. His poor show has definitely hurt Dream11 fantasy cricket players who chose him in their teams.
He has failed to live up to the expectations of fantasy cricket players as he proved to be a big disappointment in the match. His team needed him to continue the good work done by the openers but, he was dismissed early in his innings. He made only 7.5 fantasy points.
We were moderately accurate with our predictions in the match. We failed to predict a few top players in our best grand league team. Although we could have come close to the overall dream points if we had predicted the Captain and Vice Captain choices right.
