Date & Time: Saturday, 30th March; 08:00pm IST
Venue: Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi
The unpredictable Delhi Capitals are hosting the Kolkata Knight Riders at Feroz Shah Kotla stadium. This is KKR’s first game away from home.
Inspired by Andre Russell, KKR will look to continue their winning momentum, whereas the DC will also be eager to make their home fans happy, especially after failing to do so in their previous game.
The hosts are likely to include Chris Morris instead of Keemo Paul and will look to slot in Sandeep Lamichhane instead of either Rahul Tewatia or Amit Mishra, whereas KKR are likely to retain their winning combination.
A couple of days back, when DC hosted CSK here at Feroz Shah Kotla, the wicket played slow but the curators are likely to produce a sporting and entertaining wicket this time around. The spinners will play a huge part here as the history suggests.
Based on our FD Performance Prediction Model, we have come up with numbers predicting the player’s performance.
Going by his standards, he has missed out on an opportunity to score big in the previous match, but his 13-ball 25 in that difficult pitch was passable. He has a good record against Sunil Narine scoring 19 runs off 11 balls and could again go hard at him, especially since Narine has not been at his usual best with the ball this season.
Shikhar Dhawan has been in good form of late and has played a couple of long innings already in IPL. But, he has recently been weak against the express pace bowlers like Oshane Thomas and Lockie Ferguson in T20I. He might fall prey again to Lockie Ferguson.
Although Robin Uthappa scored a half century in his previous knock, he was not at his usual best. He would want to express himself more tomorrow. Recently, he’s scored some decent runs, and has a formidable rate (above 150 SR) against Amit Mishra, Chris Morris and Axar Patel, individually in various matches.
The South African all-rounder is back and what a valuable addition he is to DC. He’s coming into the IPL after taking 9 wickets in his last five T20Is. Recently, he has caused a lot of problems to Dinesh Karthik, having got his wicket twice off 13 balls. His runs with the bat could add more points to his kitty.
Of late, Andre Russell is at his best, and it looks like it could get better. He demolished Rishabh Pant and Shreyas Iyer with the ball recently. In addition, his batting prowess has also been on display for everyone to witness.
