Dream11 IPL Match 24: Mumbai Indians (MI) Vs Kings Xi Punjab (KXIP)
Date & Time: Wednesday, 10th April; 08:00pm IST
Venue: Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai
After an indifferent start to the season, much like the Mumbai Indians we are used to seeing, they seem to be on the peak after a couple of consecutive wins that too against the teams which played IPL 2018 finals. Kings XI Punjab, on the other hand, have found their middle order succeeding in this season, unlike last season, which should give enormous hope to them, for the upcoming matches.
As far as playing XI is considered, Mumbai Indians look like they will go unchanged even as their ‘Slinga’ Malinga is back and available. Kings XI Punjab have been so unpredictable in the season so far with the team changes, but we can expect Mujeeb ur Rahman to be swapped with Andrew Tye if they find the wicket more pacer friendly.
The usual happening Wankhede wicket turned out to be very spicy in the last game as it offered a little more help for bowlers than usual. Batsmen from both MI and CSK found it a bit harder to score with the exceptions from MI finishers which was also primarily because of CSK’s poor death bowling options. But we hope this time, that it will be back to its original high scoring nature.
Players to watch out for
For a player who has struggled in 8 consecutive IPL seasons and to be considered in the playing XI from the first match in season 9 has put huge pressure on him to perform. But Mayank Agarwal did wonderfully well so far this season. He simply loves pace and bounce on the wicket and we all saw how he performed in the Australian pitches. Wankhede offers more pace and bounce than any other wicket in India and he will look to utilise it today. He has scored 2 half centuries in his last 3 matches at Wankhede.
KL Rahul is coming into this match with 3 half centuries in his last 4 games and all of them have come in chases. He is a must have pick especially if KXIP are chasing MI’s score in the match. He has a great track against the current MI bowling line up thanks to his 60-ball 94 in his most recent appearance at Wankhede.
Rohit Sharma is yet to find his feet in IPL 2019 and he might have to wait a bit longer to get to his best form. Ankit Rajpoot, in the last 2 years has dismissed him twice in 5 deliveries, conceding just a single run. Rohit Sharma has his work cut out once again as he set to face him upfront with the new ball. Also, in the last 5 matches at Wankhede, he has scored only 44 runs from 53 balls.

Hardik Pandya has been in wonderful form of late with both bat and ball. He has picked up 8 wickets in his last 5 appearance at the Wankhede stadium. He has David Miller dance to his tunes recently in T20s as he has picked him up thrice in 13 balls.
Jasprit Bumrah has gone in a lull recently when it comes to wickets tally. He has been bowling well recently and the batsmen are trying to negotiate his bowling while trying to attack other bowlers. But we expect MI to attack Gayle initially with Jasprit Bumrah as he has scored only 5 runs in 16 balls against him recently in T20s.
