Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Vs Delhi Capitals (DC)

It was a game of close margins and common sense in this season’s eliminator, as Delhi managed to knock out Hyderabad in a nail-biting finish. Having lost the toss and put to bat first, the Sunrisers fought hard to post an above par total on a tricky surface in Visakhapatnam. Unfortunately, they failed to stop Delhi from getting a great start to the chase. Later, they managed to pull things back in the middle overs by regularly taking wickets, but at the end, a combination of high voltage batting from Delhi and poor bowling form Hyderabad lead Delhi into facing Chennai in the Qualifier-2.

FD Players Performance
Players who performed well

Rishabh Pant

He turned the tables around with his back to back significant contributions to end a disrupting inconsistent season. His knock changed the complexation of the game dramatically as he took Thampi to the cleaners in his final over. He may not have finished the game for the team but he made sure that the team is in the driving seat with his brisk knock. He was also effective with his presence in the field and made 42.5 fantasy points overall.

Prithvi Shaw

He may not have performed as we would have expected, but he came up with a blistering knock at the top of the order in the must-win game. His knock at the top compensated for the side’s poor showing in the middle overs. He proved his worth to the Dream11 cricket players with an unexpected performance, as he made 39 points in the match.

Keemo Paul

He may not have given his best throughout the match, but he somehow managed to play a crucial role in Delhi’s victory. He was instrumental in stopping the run flow in the end overs, as he made a difference of 15-20 runs to the actual total. In the end, he also finished the game without further drama in the match. He certainly out-lived the expectations of Dream11 fantasy cricket players as he made 39 points with his all-round show.

Rashid Khan

He had come up with an impressive spell in the middle overs to shift the momentum back to the Sunrisers camp. That may not have changed the fortune for his team in the end, but it certainly did for Dream11 fantasy cricket players as he made 29 points in the match.

Players who didn’t Perform

Basil Thampi

If one pinpoints a turning point for Sunrisers’ loss, that has to be the nightmare final over bowled by Thampi to Pant in the match. He failed to continue the good work that he did in his first 3 overs of the match. He made only 0.5 points in the match.

Axar Patel

He did not live up to the expectations of fantasy cricket players, as he failed to come up with the average points contribution in the match. He was unlucky with the bat and wicketless with the ball too. He made only 8 points in the match.

FD Grand League Team Prediction

We came quite close to nailing the dream team of the match. We missed on Kemo Paul in our best grand league team and also got the wrong vice-captain choice. Otherwise, we were accurate with our predictions in the match.
