Dream11 Post Match Expert Review: Match#40 Chennai Super Kings (CSK) Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)

The match between Chennai Super Kings and Sunrisers Hyderabad on Tuesday took us back to the IPL 2018 final. It was the same onslaught from Shane Watson who made the chase look like a walk in the park. The Sunrisers though could be hard felt by the result as they posted a decent target on the board.

FD Players Performance

Players who performed well

Shane Watson

He had come up with a significant knock for the first time in the season, and he replicated the memories back from the IPL2018 final. He was very calculative in his approach against Sunrisers bowlers, as whom to attack and play safe. He had started slowly but ended on a high with taking specific bowlers to the cleans. He made 64.5 points with the matching winning knock.

Manish Pandey

He grabbed the opportunity with both hands in the absence of Kane Willaimson. He was cautious with his approach early in the innings as Warner took the aggressive route at one end. Later the departure of Warner he unleashed his stokes by playing a brisk knock. His 83 run contribution has stood out for Sunrisers He made 54 points.

David Warner

It was the usual business for him to notch up a half-century almost every match. He had given Sunrisers a great start even in Bairstow’s early departure. The platform he built early in the innings, as come handy for Manish Pandey and Vijay Shankar later on in the match. His partnership with Pandey was the highlight of Sunrisers batting. He made 38 points.

Vijay Shankar

He provided the team with the much-needed finish. He may not have got what he anticipated for, but he had done the job with a handy knock first up and later with his fielding. He made 21 points overall.

Harbhajan Singh

He was purposefully brought in to counter David Warner at the top. But things hadn’t gone his way first up with Warner taking on the off-spinner to all parts of the ground. Later though it was his time to outfox the Hyderabad opener. He had certainly done his job in the match.

Players who didn’t Perform

Imran Tahir

The South African leg-spinner failed to replicate his standards. He was the main for Dhoni whenever the team wanted a wicket, but against Sunrisers he couldn’t come up with one. He made the only point.

Rashid Khan

He failed to perform up to his standards in the match. He may have picked a wicket but he proved to be very expensive. His rare off-day have cost Hyderabad the match. He made only 10 points.
