Chennai Super Kings (CSK) vs Delhi Capitals (DC)

The Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings demolished the Delhi Capitals to book a place in Qualifier 1. Having won the toss and elected to field first, Delhi started off the proceedings well but they lost momentum through the middle overs as Chennai batsmen bounced back strong through the later part of the innings to post a mammoth target on a spin-friendly track. While chasing the target, Delhi never looked like they were in the contest as they lost wickets regularly.

FD Players Performance
Players who performed well

MS Dhoni

Dhoni’s presence in the match showed why he is the kingmaker of the Chennai Super Kings. Everything fell into place with his presence as he came up with an all-round performance. First up, he was destructive as ever in the death overs. His knock took Chennai from a precarious situation to a dominating one. In the second innings, his quick hands behind the stumps helped in dismissing Shreyas Iyer, who fought hard for Delhi. He made 45 fantasy points overall.

Ravindra Jadeja

Having missed the last match due to flu, he came up with a brilliant all-round show in yesterday’s IPL match. His cameo alongside Dhoni aided in shifting the momentum. Then in the second innings, he was equally effective with the ball as he took wickets and was economical at the same time. He was the top points scorer of the Dream11 fantasy cricket game.

Suresh Raina

After a string of low scores in the past few matches, he played a crucial knock for the team which was under pressure situation. His knock allowed Dhoni to settle into the innings as he played the aggressor role with him. He was also handy in the field as he made 44.5 fantasy points overall.

Imran Tahir

He had come up with the game-changing spell of yesterday’s IPL match, as he continued the good work done by the opening bowlers. He picked the crucial wicket of Pant first up and then cleaned up the lower & middle order batsmen with his magic spell. He certainly lived up to the expectations of Dream11 fantasy cricket players as he made 49 points in the match.

Players who didn’t Perform

Sherfane Rutherford

He failed to replicate his previous match heroics when he was up against Chennai yesterday. He got out when the team needed someone to hold his ground at one end. He also went wicketless in the first innings. He is a disappointing pick for the Dream11 fantasy cricket players.

Rishabh Pant

He was touted to play a game-changing knock while chasing a big target but he left fantasy players in no man’s land as he departed early in the piece without much contribution with the bat. He made only 5 points in the match.
