Dream11 IPL Match 14 Post Match Review: Rajasthan Royals (RR) Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)

Another match and another loss for Bangalore, it was the same old story. They struggled to transfer any sort of pressure on Rajasthan Royals. The team’s morale seems to be on an all time low.

Rajasthan, on the other hand, rectified their mistakes from the past losses. They didn’t let the key moments go away from them.

The result of the match means- Bangalore is the only team without a win so far in this season.

FD Players Performance

Players who performed as expected

Jos Buttler

He continued his good form in Jaipur, as he notched up another half-century to make it 4 half centuries in the 5 last matches he has played here. His knock helped Rajasthan chase the target with ease in the end overs. He made 44.5 points in the match.

Shreyas Gopal

He lived up to the pre-match expectations on him. He once again got rid of AB Devilliers and Virat Kohli early in the innings and made the situation difficult for Bangalore. He didn’t stop there, he also dismissed Hetmyer in his very next over to make things even worse for Bangalore. His impressive 3/12 in 4 overs earned him the ‘Man of the match’ title. He made 43 points.

Yuzvendra Chahal

The Bangalore spinner was the only man who troubled Rajasthan batsmen in the chase. He broke the dangerous opening partnership to make things happening for Bangalore, but later few dropped catches by the fielders hindered his efforts and he couldn’t dig deep into the Rajasthan batting order. He contributed 24 points in this match.

Steven Smith

He was on the verge of finishing the match, but his luck did not favour him. He was dismissed in the penultimate over.. He held the innings together after the departure of openers and made sure his team was in a good position at all times in the chase. He made 23 points in the match.

Marcus Stoinis

He was not at his best, but he played his part in the end overs by complementing aggressive Moeen Ali. His act helped Bangalore post a respectable total on the board. He made 22.5 points in the match.

Rahul Tripathi

He was ominous with his timing. His brisk knock allowed Steven Smith to play the anchor role in the chase. He over delivered and he made 21.5 points.

Parthiv Patel

He was the lone warrior for Bangalore with the bat in the top order. He held the ground firm even with regular fall of wickets at the other end. He was not only calculative, but also aggressive at times, which aided in moving the scores up. His 41-ball 67 runs stood out in the Bangalore innings.

Players didn’t perform as expected

Virat Kohli

The Bangalore captain failed to live up to his expectations. He was nowhere near his average points contribution per match. His sloppy innings at the top didn’t come in handy for the visitors. He contributed 5 points in the match.

AB Devilliers

It was not his day, for the veteran batsman was dismissed early in the innings. Although his short stay at the crease was entertaining, his contribution was meagre and made very little difference to the team. He made 9.5 points.
