Delhi Daredevils pulled off an impressive victory, in a match where they were on the back foot for the most part it. It seemed like a moment of brain freeze for the middle and lower order Hyderabad batsmen, as they came in and got out in quick succession and gave Delhi a third consecutive win. This happens to be the third consecutive loss for Hyderabad.
He continued his good form once again on Sunday. He provided the team with a brisk start in a tricky chase. He may not have seen his team through but he played his role in the team for perfection. He made 38 points in the match.
The leading wicket-taker of this season had a splendid outing against Hyderabad. He picked 4 wickets in the match and also proved to be economical at the same time. He continued the good work done by Kemo Paul and Chris Morris, and ensured Hyderabad couldn’t fight back. He made a whopping 60 points.
He had a tough day with the bat as he struggled to time the ball well in his short innings. But he compensated for it with his bowling. He dismissed Sunrisers’ middle order with ease. He made 34 points in the match.
He has surprised everyone with his bowling as he turned the match on its head in favor of Delhi. He initiated the Sunrises’ collapse by dismissing dangerous Bairstow and then he dismissed Kane Willamson and Ricky Bhui in quick succession. He made 46.5 points in the match.
He played the anchor role alongside Bairstow in the opening partnership. But it was so unusual, as he could not shift through the gears in his half-century. He contributed 34 points.
The Delhi Captain is the most consistent batsman of the team so far in the season. On Sunday, he came up with a characteristic knock when the team was under pressure. His partnership with Munro and Pant was the main highlight of Delhi’s batting. He made 31 points in the match.
The middle-order batsman failed to get his team out of trouble from the pressure situation. He departed after just scoring a run and proved to be unworthy. He made only 2.5 points.
Playing a match after a break, the Sunrisers’ skipper failed to continue the good work done by the openers. His wicket proved to be costly for the hosts as they couldn’t fight back in the chase after that. He made 3.5 points in the match.
Our accuracy in prediction was moderate, mainly because we were perceiving it to be a high scoring match. We missed out on a few players in that context, otherwise we had gotten quite a few players in the dream team from our grand league team right.
