Dream11 IPL Match 31 Post Match Review: Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Royal challengers Bangalore (RCB)

It was the same old story for Royal Challengers Bangalore in Mumbai, as they suffered another loss to make their playoff chances slimmer. Having lost the toss and put on to bat first, Bangalore lost Kohli early, but a big partnership between Moeen Ali and AB Devilliers helped them to post a par score on the board. Later, all the Mumbai batsmen played their part in the chase to give their team the fifth win of the season.

FD Players Performance

Players who Performed well

AB Devilliers

He once again enjoyed his time in Mumbai, as he came up with a crucial knock for his team when it was most needed. He was cautious early on in the innings against Bumrah and later he was calculative in his approach as Moeen played an aggressive knock alongside him. In the end, he unleashed his range all around the park. He made 50.5 points in the match.

Moeen Ali

He set Wankhede on fire, as he came up with an all-round show. First up, he played a crisp half-century to make things easy for AB Devilliers and Bangalore when they were struggling to score freely. Later with the ball, he produced a brilliant spell as he dismissed Mumbai’s well-settled openers and that gave Bangalore a chance to come back into the game. He made 58.5 points.

Lasith Malinga

He once again proved that class is permanent, as he showcased his unique skill to stop Bangalore momentum in the death overs. He was the pick of the bowlers for Mumbai, as he came up with 4 wickets which included crucial wickets of Moeen Ali and Marcus Stoinis. He made 46 points in the match.

Hardik Pandya

He is turning out to be the Junior Russell in the season. He had once again come up with a pivotal cameo in the end and eased the tense situation. He had also picked a wicket to add to his contribution in the match. He made 39 points overall.

Quinton de Kock

The wicket-keeper batsman had given Mumbai a great start to the chase. He played his natural game to ensure the required rate wasn’t a problem at any stage. His hit allowed other batsmen to take their time in the chase. He made 38.5 points in the match.

Players who didn’t Perform

Virat Kohli

He failed to live up to expectations on him, as he departed early leaving Bangalore in trouble. He faced problems in playing the moving ball around the off stump. He made 6.5 points in the match.

Umesh Yadav

He couldn’t replicate his good record against Rohit Sharma, and went for runs instead. He proved to be expensive in the match and couldn’t complete his spell.

Krunal Pandya

He was touted to be a great lower order batsman, but on Monday he proved it wrong. He consumed a lot of deliveries in his innings which later led to the increase in the required rate in the chase. He could only make 6 points in the match.
