Dream11 IPL Match 32 Post Match Review: Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) Vs Rajasthan Royals (RR)

Rajasthan Royals lost another close contest as they once again failed to come on top in the pressure situation. It was in the chase that they have lost control of the game with their own tactics and approach. In the first half though, Rajasthan had done well to restrict KXIP to a part-total, but Punjab had come back strong with an impressive bowling performance. They didn’t allow the visitors to go past the required rate at any stage in the match. This victory allowed the KXIP to move into the top half of the table.

FD Players Performances

Players who performed well

Lokesh Rahul

The opening batsman had once again come up with a half-century and played his role to perfection in the team. He anchored the batting lineup with his cautious approach and allowed others to play their natural game. He also shifted gears at the end of his knock to help in scoring. He made 39.5 points in the match.

Jofra Archer

The way he bowled in the match seemed like he was bowling on a different surface altogether. He proved his wicket-taking credentials by bagging 3 wickets and he was also economical at the same time. He made 43.5 points.

Ravichandran Ashwin

The KXIP skipper had come up with an all-round show against Rajasthan. He played a much-needed cameo in the final over of the innings first up, and in the second half, he led the bowling attack by picking two crucial wickets. He made 34 points in the match.

David Miller

If not for Moises Henriques’ injury before the match, Miller wouldn’t have played on Tuesday. He used the last minute opportunity to make a come-back and displayed his potential by scoring  40 runs in 27 balls in the tough middle overs.

His crisp knock helped KXIP out of a tricky situation and put a decent score on the table. He was also effective with his fielding in the match. He contributed 29 points.

Rahul Tripathi

He was back at the opening position in the match after a long time. He played the anchor role well but others failed to play their best. He had come up with a half-century and proved his worth in the team. He made 33 points in the match.

Players who didn’t perform well

Shreyas Gopal

He was touted to be the x-factor with his leg-spin, but he failed to live up to the expectations on him. He went wicketless in the match and also proved to be expensive. He made only 2 points.

He is known for his wicket-taking ability in powerplay, but he couldn’t replicate the same in the match. He struggled to outfox the batsmen and conceded more runs than usual against Rajasthan openers. He made only 2 points.
