Dream11 IPL Match 33 Post Match Review: SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) Vs Chennai Super Kings (CSK)

Chennai Super Kings were outfoxed for the first time this season. Sunrisers Hyderabad was the team do it, as they produced a ruthless performance to end their losing streak. It was unusual for Chennai on Wednesday, starting from their good opening partnership to the poor finishing. While Sunrises, for the first time, seemed like their old self. They showcased their full potential with the ball. In the second innings, as expected, the star players took Hyderabad to  victory.

FD Players Performance

Players who Performed well

Jonny Bairstow

He had been amongst the runs for the side in the season. He provided the team with a good start and also a few significant hits. But for the first time in the season, he had seen the team through the chase. He was a complement to the aggressive Warner early in the chase, and post his departure, he took over the reins to finish off the game in style. He made 45 points in the match.

Faf du Plessis

Chennai may have fallen short of runs at the end, but at the top DuPlessis alongside Watson provided them a terrific start. He was aggressive with his approach through his knock, as he made full use of field restrictions in the powerplay. He made 37 points in the match.

David Warner

It was another day, another match and Warner had come up with another half-century. He had played an entertaining knock at the top to give the middle-order batsmen a comfortable sail through to victory. He came up with 36 points in the match.

Imran Tahir

He was the only bowler for Chennai, who was a threat to the Sunrisers batsmen. He picked two important wickets in the match, but those dismissals didn’t come to Chennai’s rescue, due to lack of runs on the board. He made 27 points.

Rashid Khan

He was the pick of the bowler for the first time in the season. He picked two crucial wickets of Raina and Jadhav in the middle overs which led to extra pressure on other Chennai batsmen later in the innings. He made 24 points in the match.

Players who didn’t perform

Kane Williamson

He failed to live up to the expectations on him, as he couldn’t contribute enough for his team. He departed early in the chase in a tricky situation when the team already lost one of the set batsmen. He made only 3.5 points in the match.

Suresh Raina

He couldn’t replicate his previous match heroics against Sunrisers. He was off to a good start in the innings but failed to convert it big, especially when the team needed one from the seasoned campaigner. He could only contribute 9.5 points for the team.
