Dream11 IPL Match 38 Post Match Review: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) Vs Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR)

It was the same old formula that the Sunrisers applied on the Kolkata Knight Riders on Sunday. Having won the toss, they elected to field first, and the Sunrisers Hyderabad bowlers picked wickets regularly after breaking Kolkata’s solid opening partnership, apart from which, there weren’t many contributions down the order for KKR, and that made them settle for a below-par total. Later in the chase, the Sunrisers’ openers turned up with another exhibition of dominance.

FD Players Performance

Players who performed well

Jonny Bairstow

He had come up with another dominant knock on Sunday and he outplayed Warner with his brute force. His 80 runs have set things beautifully for the Sunrisers to chase the target with ease.  He had seen the team through the chase and made 63.5 points in the match.

David Warner

The Sunrises’ Skipper is just enjoying his time in the middle. He had once again come up with a half-century and crossed the 500 run mark in the middle of the season itself. He may not have seen his team through the chase, but his knock alongside Bairstow set things going in the chase. He made 46 points in the match.

Chris Lynn

He is the only front batsmen for Kolkata who challenged the Sunrisers’ bowlers. His knock played a pivotal role in his side’s competitive total on the board. He played the anchor role to perfection but there weren’t any other batsmen to play around him. He made 34.5 points.

Sunil Narine

He had once again come up with a crisp knock at the top and he was entertaining throughout his stay at the crease. But he failed to pick any wickets which didn’t go well for the team. He made 18 points in the match.

Khaleel  Ahmed

He was the bowler who stopped Kolkata’s run flow in his very first over of the innings. He dismissed dangerous Narine first up and then got rid of Gill in no time to leave Kolkata in trouble. In the end, he also got the better of Lynn, who seemed to be scoring big. He made 32 points in the match.

Players who didn’t perform

Shubman Gill

He failed to grab the opportunity at the top of the order for the second time. He couldn’t hold one end tight alongside Lynn when the team needed it  the most. He departed early in the piece and only made3.5 points in the match.

Nitish Rana

He couldn’t replicate the previous match heroics against Hyderabad on Sunday. He got a good start and was in great touch in his short stay at the crease, but failed to convert it big. He made 8 points.
