Dream11 IPL Match#6 Post Match Review: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) Vs Kings Xi Punjab (KXIP)

It was another run-fest at the Garden city, as Kolkata Knight Riders posted 218 on the board, batting first. In reply to the hosts, Kings XI Punjab could only manage 190. As expected Nitish Rana and Andre Russell from Kolkata played a prominent role in the team’s second victory. Even though Mayank Agarwal and David Miller fought hard, their efforts were in vain for the Kings XI Punjab.

Fan Duniya team Performance

Players who performed

Andre Russell

The West Indies all-rounder has once again showed how destructive he can be in the slog overs. He may have got a life with the no-ball early in the innings, but he made sure to use most of it. He hit a brutal 17-ball 48 run, and in addition to that he was also economical with his bowling and he picked 2 wickets. He was the top point scorer in the match with 52.5 points.

Chris Gayle

The Universe Boss was not at his best as he couldn’t convert his start into something substantial. He still contributed 15 points.

Sunil Narine

The T20 specialist may have been expensive with his bowling, but he provided a great start for the team with some power hitting at the top of the order, which allowed Kolkata to set the tempo of the innings. He made 14.5 points in the match.

Andrew Tye

The Australian bowler had a mediocre day with his bowling and he couldn’t replicate his own standards. He proved to be useful with his economy compared to his teammates. He made 11 points in the match.

Lockie Ferguson

He made an early breakthrough in Kings XI Punjab’s chase by dismissing KL Rahul. He proved his worth in the team and he contributed 10 points.

Players who didn’t perform well

Chris Lynn

The aggressive batsman hadn’t performed as expected. He failed to contribute his average points per match. He looked good in the short time he spent at the crease but couldn’t sustain for longer time. He made 8 points in the match.

Sarfaraz Khan

The 20-year-old failed to replicate his previous match performance, he struggled to get going in the match as he couldn’t find the ideal timing. He made only 9.5 points in the match.

KL Rahul

The right-handed batsman once again failed to live up to expectations. He just made 6.5 points in the match with his skills of being a wicketkeeper.

Notable Misses

Mayank Agarwal

Agarwal, who failed in the previous match, had come up with some intent against Kolkata Knight Riders. He did not have seen his team through the chase, but he was the leading man with the bat for Kings XI Punjab.

Nitish Rana

The left-hander continued his good form. He came up with another half-century of the season. He was excellent with his approach after the fall of two quick wickets. He took care of the scoring rate at a crucial juncture in the match.

Robin Uthappa

He played the anchor role pretty well for Kolkata, as he allowed other batsmen to play their natural game at one end. He was the backbone of the team in the match as he stayed at the crease till the end.

The FD team players’ performance was not as expected, but we are sure that they will bounce back strong in the upcoming matches.
